IPJ Speaker Series

"The Social and Moral Costs of Migration"

The symposium will address issues of Mexican migration to the U.S. Speakers include David Fitzgerald, Center for Comparative Immigration Studies at UCSD; Claudio Mendez, Director of Atención al Migrante Michoacano, State of Michoacán, Mexico; and David Shirk, Transborder Institute at USD. Bob Stewart, Director of ACCESS, a community-based organization that provides education, workforce training and social services to youth and adults, will serve as Moderator. As part of a "Semana Cultural," the IPJ is pleased to co-sponsor this event with Social Issues, the TransBorder Institute, and ACCESS. This event will also feature a photo exhibit "With Our Own Eyes," in the IPJ rotunda.
