Wednesday, Oct. 26, 7 – 9 p.m., "Working for Peace, Living for Justice: Women PeaceMakers' Stories from Cambodia, The Philippines, Uganda, and Zimbabwe." This annual Woman PeaceMaker Panel event was followed by a question and answer session and reception.

Wednesday, May 18, 7 - 9 p.m., San Diego~Jalalabad Sister City Society, USD, and Rotary International District 5340 present: "An Evening of Conversation: Meet Faculty from Afghanistan." This panel discussion featured six visiting professors from Nangarhar University in our sister city Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. Details.

Aidan Delgado, former U.S. Army Reserve soldier discussed his experiences as a soldier in Iraq, the U.S.' military's treatment of prisoners in Iraq and the impact of war on the Iraqi people. Tuesday, May 10, 7 p.m., Peace & Justice Theatre, IPJ Speaker Series: "The Sudan Comprehensive Peace Agreement: A Framework for Eventual Peace and Reconciliation for All Sudanese." U.S. Senior Representative on Sudan Charles Snyder spoke on the Sudan Peace Accord which was signed in January 2005. Details.

Tuesday, April 19, 7 p.m., Peace & Justice Theatre, IPJ Speaker Series: "Because of Romek: A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir." The Jewish Student Union at USD and Hillel of San Diego, USD Campus Ministry, Departments of Theology and Religious Studies and Languages and Literaturea at USD and the the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice co-sponsored a lecture by Holocaust Survivor David Faber who told his story of survival. Details.
