- IPJ Daylight Series: "Searching for a Sustainable Peace in Nepal" IPJ Deputy Director Dee Aker and Program Officer Laura Taylor reported how delayed elections and political maneuvering threaten to derail Nepal’s peace process, and shared analysis and reflections from their work supporting local and national Nepali leaders in their struggle to construct a stable peace with justice. November 13 – December 5, 2007 – Humla, Pokhara and Kathmandu, Nepal
- Collaborating with district and village-level community organizations, the IPJ returned to Nepal to extend its conflict-resolution and peacebuilding trainings to reach rural and historically isolated constituents, in addition to its continued work with decision makers in Kathmandu.
- Community Dialogues – "Forging Communication Channels, Fostering Voices for Peace" This two-day interaction launched the IPJ Peace Radio Program with communities in Humla, and focused on developing new facilitation skills and sharing new information on peacebuilding and conflict resolution among participants.
- Regional Forum - "Getting Heard, Gaining Influence" an interaction among the Western Development Region participants in the IPJ Peace Radio Program and key leaders in Pokhara, facilitated by Dee Aker, IPJ Interim Director, Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer, and Upendra Malla, MSBK-Nepal and SAP-Nepal Regional Chief.
- Participatory Seminar - Women, Politics and Peace, Working for a Just Society VIII "Reconnecting, Rethinking and Mobilizing for Sustainable Peace: Where We Are, What We Need" for women leaders in politics, law and civil society facilitated by Dee Aker, IPJ Interim Director, Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer, and Lesley Abdela, gender expert and consultant with the United Nations.
- Minimum Principles of Action - Priorities of Women from the Political, Civil and Legal Sectors in Nepal
- Participatory Seminar – "Essential Mediation and Communication Strategies: Using Neutral Language in Conflicts" for Emerging Leaders facilitated by Dee Aker, IPJ Interim Director, Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer.
- Consultations with Nepali political party and civil society leaders, U.S. embassy and U.N. officials, and international NGO representatives on the ground in Nepal to assess the potential for sustaining the tenuous peace in Nepal, as well as the next steps to promote transitional justice and human security in the country.

July 1, 2007 – Los Angeles, CA
- Dee Aker, Interim Director, and Laura Taylor, Program Officer, presented “Bridging the Gaps: Peacebuilding across Gender and Generations,” which described best practices on inclusive peacebuilding from the IPJ’s six years of work in Nepal. This session was part of the Nepal Forum dedicated to the topic of Conflict Resolution in Transition, Peace and Construction in Democratic Nepal during the 25th Annual Conference of the Association of Nepalis in the Americas (ANA).

- IPJ Daylight Series: "Nepal’s Democratic Transition: Challenges and Opportunities." Dee Aker, Interim Director, and Laura Taylor, Program Officer, reported on their recent in-country conflict assessment visit to Nepal; trips to rural districts as well as a series of workshops and private interviews with key stakeholders in Kathmandu informed this analysis. Voices and perspectives of conflict survivors and political leaders on the forefront of the democratic transition were shared, including video clips of the youth and women participants in the IPJ Peace Radio Project. - Participatory Seminar - Women, Politics and Peace, Working for a Just Society VI "On the Campaign Trail: Strategies to Advance and Mainstream the Women’s Agenda" for the Inter-Party Women’s Alliance facilitated by Dee Aker, IPJ Interim Director, Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer, and Shobha Shrestha, SAP-Nepal Program Officer.

- Roundtable Discussion -"Where is Civil Society Headed?" A discussion for civil society representatives engaged in democratic development facilitated by Dee Aker, IPJ Interim Director, Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer, and Shobha Shrestha, SAP-Nepal Program Officer.
- Today’s Youth Forum - "Leading the Way to Peace: Fostering Youth Participation" a dialogue with Emerging Leaders facilitated by Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer.
- Consultations with Nepali political party leaders to assess the prospects and plans for the constituent assembly process and democratic transition in Nepal, specifically, how best the IPJ could respond to requests for assistance.
April 2007 – Pokhara and Bhairahawa, Nepal
- Assessment visit to rural conflict-affected communities which participated in the IPJ Peace Radio Project, including Lekhnath, Baglung, Dhikurpokhari and Devdaha. Focus group discussions evaluated the impact of the IPJ Peace Radio Project and how the IPJ could respond to requests for assistance in rebuilding communities and addresses the root causes and consequences of the thirteen-year conflict. Assessment team included Dee Aker, IPJ Interim Director, Laura Taylor, IPJ Program Officer, and Shobha Shrestha and Upendra Malla of SAP-Nepal.
